TechAbout has received the presidential award in the category of “Best Software Company.” Jazib Zaman, CEO at TechAbout, received the award from his majesty President Dr. Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. The company’s legacy of achieving accolades has reached another milestone after naming this “Best Software Company Award.”
The LCCI IT Awards ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad, to recognize the efforts and contributions made by Pakistani information technology companies to the country’s economic growth. Along with TechAbout, 12 other companies have also received the 1st awards of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI).
President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi graced the event to felicitate the country’s top IT companies and distributed LCCI awards among the recipients. In his speech on occasion, Pakistan’s president Dr. Arif Alvi discussed the importance of taking advantage of information technology and digital communication in order to spur economic development in Pakistan. While discussing the need to train undergraduates and utilizing their talent, President Arif Alvi said that the IT sector has a great deal of potential in the country, and the government is focused on its development. He also noted that the country has the potential to boost IT exports up to $5 billion by 2023.
Commenting on the effects of the pandemic caused by Covid-19 on the IT industry, President Arif Alvi highlights the rising importance of technology in the time of crisis. He said that the latest digital communication tools and information technology were of great importance, undoubtedly, but the Covid-19 lockdown situation across the country has dramatically intensified the role of IT in our society.
President Alvi and LCCI President, Mian Tariq Misbah, congratulated the winners of the LCCI IT Awards. While congratulating the winners of the LCCI IT awards, Dr. Alvi recognized the efforts made by these companies to contribute to the country’s betterment and provide outstanding services to their clients. Besides President Arif Alvi, LCCI President Mian Tariq Misbah also lamented the importance of the IT sector. The chamber commended Pakistan’s premier technology companies for all their efforts to improve Pakistan’s digital landscape.
Last year, CEO TechAbout had also won the Presidential trophy of IT exports in Pakistan. President Dr. Arif Alvi awarded the trophy to Jazib Zaman at the Aiwan-e-Saddar on September 17, 2020. The Presidential Exports Trophy was awarded based on remarkable performance in improving the country’s economic position by the record exports.
