Microsoft to end support for Skype is now ready to hit the market.

Microsoft is ready to facilitate Skype users with its new updated version called “Skype.8.0” by the coming month of November. Besides, they aim to launch modified “Skype 8” with improved features built based on the user feedback.
Last Thursday, Microsoft announced in a blog post:
“Support for ‘Skype‘ versions 7’, and below will end on 1 November 2018 on desktop devices and 15 November 2018 on mobile and tablet devices”
The users can enjoy updates from this new version while retaining the older one for a specific period.
Microsoft further added:
“We’re continuing to work on your most requested features. Recently, we launched call recording and have started to roll out the ability to search within a conversation. You’ll soon be able to add phone numbers to existing contacts, have more control over your availability status, and more,”
In September, Microsoft worked on Skype’s latest UI feature to make it more interactive for the users. Also, support for the classic version was expected to end earlier this month but Microsoft overdue the cutoff at the end of August due to passive feedback from Skype users.
The upcoming Skype 8 is built on the latest technological features that ensure an excellent user experience.
It allows the user to enjoy:

  • Non-distorted HD-video calling with high-quality screen sharing.
  • Call recording and snapshots during a call.
  • Fast loading.
  • Drag and drop file sharing.
  • Easy maintenance of personal contact records.
  • Highly interactive user interface.
  • Quick access to personalize settings.
  • Notification alert.
  • Group chats and invitations.
  • Customizable themes.
  • Responsive design.

Most of the features mentioned above have already been deployed in the previous Skype versions but in version 8 all features are supposed to have richer functionality than ever. In Skype version 8, users will find more flexibility and customizing options. Of course, the product’s success is determined by its degree of customization; Microsoft is following this trend from several years. Microsoft is committed to capturing those users who are not registered on any version of Skype, via this modified “Skype 8” version.
Microsoft’s continuous user support announcements clarify that the company acknowledges their customers well and will take care of their time demands.
